Windsurfing is a surface water sport that combines elements of surfing and sailing. It consists of a board usually 2.5 to 3 meters long powered by wind on a sail. The rig is connected to the board by a free-rotating universal joint and consists of a mast, 2-sided boom and sail.
The skills learned in longboard sailing form the foundation for all windsurfing. Big boards and small sails will have you sailing out and back on your first lesson. Their stability lets you learn new skills quickly.
The first lesson is an introductory one, where you learn how to steer the board, control power in the sail, and turn around. There are many skills to learn after your first lesson. The practice of windsurfing is available during the whole year due to the winds, breeze and nice weather throughout the year.
